Truck Shop Manager

Created and implemented policies for truck idle times which saved on fuel consumption

by 18% per month.

Cut truck mph from 75 mph to 67 mph, which raised overall fuel mileage from 4.5 mpg

to over 5.5 mpg.

Created and implemented a tire program which improved the fleet’s tire usage by 10%.

Created and implement both a maintenance checklist and an oil analysis program to identify and

correct potential issues before they became major repairs.

Established customized maintenance schedules based on mileage and equipment use,

combined with oil analysis results, which led to a cost savings of 10% annually.

Facilitated daily shop meetings with staff to discuss performance goals and workplace safety.

Used real-time safety training on a daily basis, reducing workplace injuries (had only two

recordable/reportable injuries in six years).

Using the Fleet Mentor Service and Parts Tracking program, kept accurate records of all repairs

performed.

Communicated regularly with both the owners and the logistics manager on daily operations.
