Work Experience and Skills:

• Supervise students and share Lab responsibilities. Under specific direction, each day, I

perform a variety of routine scientific tasks.

• Aseptically, prepare test specimens working with biological assays using mostly human

blood, breast milk, stool, west water and occasionally intestinal tissue to extract RNA &

DNA and do PCR experiments for each sample to detect the presence of gens.

• Expert in Agarose gel electrophoresis for DNA, RNA and Protein

• I fix PBS, TE buffers, 70% Alcohol and others.

• Record data providing basic analysis and interpretations; perform a limited number of

non-repetitive procedures; and other related duties and tasks as assigned.

• Duties include sub-culturing microorganisms, inoculating microdilution panels which

contain biochemical substrates and/or antimicrobial agents, and visually reading the

panels for turbidity / growth. Microscopic staining and evaluation of bacteria.

I work with the MicroScan instrumentation and research software.

• I am excellent in working with aseptic techniques and have taken different Microbiology

class with labs.

• I provide assistance in a wide variety of routine technical assignments. Assist with

conducting routine tests or investigations pertaining to the development of new designs

methods, materials, or processes; and I investigate possible application of results.

• I obtain, correlate and analyze technical information needed to accomplish routine tasks.
