Assigned to the U.S. Department of Energy - Savannah River Operations Office,
providing Administrative support to the Reactor Operations and
Training Division. This included the development of a system for
the tracking and distribution of Unusual Occurrence Reports
(UOR’s) throughout DOE. A full description of duties is provided

1987 - 1989 C. J. Health Records - Assistant Supervisor
Responsible for the accountability and control of all U.S.
Department of Energy - Savannah River Operations Office’s
classified documents. This required the development of a process
to inventory all of the DOE classified documents. Also supervised
subcontractor staff performing inventory. Interacted with DOE
management and staff to implement the system. Responsible for
duplication, destruction, and mailing of classified documents.
Used a computer-based system to produce receipts.
1983 - 1987 Wackenhut Services, Inc. - Records Managements Specialist /
Administrative Assistant
Administrative Assistant for the training manager which
included the development of a secretarial staff and organization to
support the department. Responsible for the acquisition and
distribution of DOE Orders and Procedures. Other duties included:
backup to travel coordinator, receptionist, visitor control, and
provided secretarial services to various departments.
Responsible for the logging and tracking of incoming mail.
Included assignment of tracking and file numbers for the mail.
Expedited mail through management.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Administrative Assistant, SR Restart Special Projects Office (SRSPO), responsible for
the Action Tracking and Document Control System, and Library Administration.
DUTIES:
Assist with Operation, Administration, and Maintenance of Computerized
Action / Correspondence Tracking System
Document Control Record distribution and disposition for SRSPO, including
Director’s Office and four divisions/offices (approximately 70 people)
Receive and review designated incoming mail; sort mail into action
correspondence and recordable correspondence
Input document/commitment data; identify action type, assign action tracking
numbers
Issue action slips and corresponding documentation to appropriate SRSPO
personnel, preparing duplication of attachments or supporting documentation
when required
Update and issue reports as prescribed by system management manual
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of reference materials for database
management and system functions
Interface with SRSPO staff to obtain status information in order to update
database and publish weekly action status reports
Query database for information
Maintain file and retrieval system in accordance with Department of Energy
system management manual guidance
