Postdoc in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

PhD in Physics and Materials Science /Nanomaterials.

Experience in designing/modifying, developing and application of various processes for

materials research.

Expertise in thin film Metal Organic Frameworks (MOF) and self assembled monolayers

(SAM), synthesis of 0D and 1D nanoforms (especially quantum dots and nanorods) of II-

-VI chalcogenides using electrochemical template synthesis, chemical precipitation,

solvothermal and sol--gel synthesis techniques.

Worked on Photovoltaics: Dye sensitized and quantum dot sensitized solar cells.

Experience in thin film deposition: layer-by layer synthesis, Pulsed Laser Ablation and

Chemical vapor Deposition (CVD) techniques, using vacuum systems and inert gases, at

room temperature as well as high temperatures.

Experience in characterization and analysis of inorganic and metal doped inorganic

materials, using X--ray diffraction (XRD), Electron microscopy (SEM, TEM), UV --visible

absorption spectroscopy, Steady state as well as time --resolve photoluminescence (PL) and

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC),

Atomic force microscopy (AFM), EDAX, Mass Spectroscopy.

Experience in planning, conducting, summarizing and report making of research projects.

Authored eight peer reviewed journal publications and presented numerous papers in

conferences & seminars, and reviewer of many international journals of the field.
