radar masts on fast attack submarines in order to maintain the highest
level of operational readiness. Collateral responsibilities included gage
and tool calibration team leader.
Major Accomplishments include:

2006-2012 USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG-58), Mayport, FL
Divisional Supervisor, Main Propulsion
Responsibilities included the operation and maintenance of two LM 2500 gas
turbine engines and associated electrical and mechanical equipment and
components; fuel service and purification system; high and low pressure air
systems; maintenance and record keeping of fuel systems; helicopter
refueling systems and reverse osmosis system for water production. These
responsibilities included the direct supervision of 25 technicians within
this division.
Major Accomplishments include:
. Maintained 100% of all scheduled maintenance during this time
period.
. Manufactured mechanical parts for gravity feed oil-water separator
that had not previously worked for eight years, resulting in a Navy-
wide procedural repair change. This procedural change resulted in
a $1.85 million cost savings.
. Direct management of the engineering division resulted in shipboard
certification six weeks prior to schedule, resulting in a savings
of over $860,000 in host country port fees. (Awarded Navy
Achievement Medal)
