Systems administrator of multiple Solaris and Linux servers, Dell and
Hitachi SAN arrays, Dell tape libraries and associated switches in highly
dynamic environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting critical
hardware and software issues, monitoring systems for potential problems and
bi-weekly 24/7 on call support. Technical lead and point of contact for
building, testing and commissioning new infrastructure, including Oracle
RAC, sendmail, utilities and SFTP systems. Correcting security issues found

telecommunications corporation data centers. Servers covered include, but
were not limited to, Sun Microsystems E12/15/20/25K and HP Super Domes.
Diagnosed system failures, repaired, and replaced hardware. Supplied
customer with root causes of failures and if possible made recommendations
to prevent future system outages. Reviewed system logs and exploration
script output to forecast potential system problems and alerted customers
to possible failures. Physical walkthroughs looking for systems problems.
Installed new systems, firmware and hardware upgrades as required.
