Project description
NSN @vantage Platforms are the INs which have been deployed in the Vodafone
India network, and serve approx. 50% of the prepaid subscribers in the
Vodafone India Network and is present in 26 circles in the Vodafone
network. As a part of this project, All the existing @vantage hardware V7.5
SP2 platforms (FSC PW900 & PW1500) that are implemented in VF were upgraded
to @vantage V7.6.2 .
Contribution and roles in the project :
As a developer, I was involved in
. Implementing CIB(Component Interaction Bridge) Interface used in
Vodafone network and USSD(Unstructured supplementary service data)
service component.
. Stabilizing the Regression test cases for CIB Interface and USSD
service component. As a part of this activity around 200 test cases
were stabilized and automated in the offline test environment.
. Maintenance part of the project which involved analysis for onsite
issues and correction of service faults.
. Support of onsite upgrade activity
. Subscriber migrations to new live IN with charge@once premium service.
2. Vodafone 7.6.2 platform and service upgrade Phase2

Project description
This project was a Change request (CR) of Vodafone 7.6.2 upgrade project.
Some of the important features were implemented on V7.6.2 as a part of this
project.
Contribution and roles in the project :
Involved in design and development of important features in the Vodafone
service. My role in this project were development of features in components
like
< Development of Recharging functionality via E Top up server
using Component Interaction Bridge(CIB) Interface, USSD and
DTMF
< USSD( Unstructured supplementary Service Data) functions to
enable Account Enquiry, Voucher Recharging, Transaction Enquiry, Initiating UCB(USSD Call Back) from a country which does not
support CAP1 and CAP2
< DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) for Voucher Recharging and
feature activation
< DBA ( Data Base Applications) for Periodic activities
3. Mobile Number Portability all over India

This project focused on changes in the service to adapt to Mobile Number
portability for the existing Charge@Once Premium in the Vodafone Network.
Mobile Number Portability allows a subscriber to change between network
operators without changing his/her MSISDN.

. Involved in solution design for MNP and interaction with 3rd party
clients to provide end to end solution.
. Involved in customization design principles discussions to ensure ease
of upgrade and compatibility with future product versions.

handling via MAP operation between IN and STP

4. Telkomsel Indonesia -Unified EP2 Customization Project for Telkomsel
Indonesia - OCS Modernization.( 2G and 3G)

had IN for prepaid charging system and a separate billing domain.
In order to enhance Telkomsel's network and support the continued high

for mobile telecommunications services in Indonesia, Telkomsel procured
a billing solution to enhance its charging system.
Contribution and roles in the project :
. Worked on execution of PoC (Proof of Concept) for Unified 3.0 from
NSN. This involved working on the mapping of requirements in the
Unified product and customer showcase.
. Worked on creating scope of work (SoW) for different modules in the
project which involved creating of scope of the requirement,
identification and scripting of test cases
. Involved in customization of flow based charging via diameter which
involved both event charging and session based charging
5. Customer Project Process1( CPP1) - New Prepaid service features

As a part of this project, release of new features called 'Flexi Tool box'
a set of PPS features which will address multiple customer use cases
related to Accumulation, Usage based promotions / discounts, Flexible
account usage and Periodic debits.
With this tool box, Vodafone could launch its own Marketing Use cases just
by minimal administration.

. Awarded RECOGNITION AWARD for the year 2010 for handling the feature
implementation independently from the scratch and having demonstrated

introducing highly modular, flexible and efficient modules for
