Southern California Edison 2006 to 2013

Project Controls Manager - Project Management Organization (PMO), SONGS.

. Oversaw the PMO's operating expense budget and implemented budget and

cost controls for the division.

. Lead a team of cost and scheduling professionals in establishing and

maintaining budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.

. Instituted and maintained project controls across the board for all of

the Capital and retrofit projects assigned to PMO, including Unit 1

Decommissioning and Integrated Spent Fuel Storage Initiative (ISFSI).

. Enabled a significant improvement in production time /cycle time

(Assembly Line Manufacturing Process) for spent fuel canister

fabrication.

. Standardized use of the Earned Value Model, to ensure projects are

executed in accordance with the schedule, and within budget, to a

. Lead the division's transition from a direct hire organization to a

Utah Copper Refinery.

. Solely responsible for the construction / contract management of all the

electrical contractors in the Material Handling and Precious Metals

Facility on this refinery upgrade.

. Oversaw and managed miscellaneous contracts involving the installation of

a new pumping station in Magna Utah, a sewage treatment plant, an

Ethernet network, the fiber optic system including hardware for data-

linking the entire site together, installation of closed circuit

television monitoring and security systems, distributed control system

(DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLC).

. Spearheaded and coordinated efforts that overlapped contractors (Flour

Daniels and Bechtel) and various site locations (i.e., open pit mine,

crushing unit, refinery, and smelter).
