SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTANT• Labor Relations Institute (LRI) Tulsa, OK

Worked closely with organizations Senior Management while implementing Organization

Development to change the culture of a company to ensure the utilization of fair and consistent

Human Resources and Labor Relations polices. Investigates various companies’ employee

relation issues by finding the root cause through numerous methods including needs

assessments, group focus meetings, and vulnerability assessments to offer the best solution to

resolve the problem. I have worked with numerous types of industries including: Manufacturing,

Healthcare, Retail, Transportation and Hospitality. I work with management to come up with the

best union avoidance strategy for a company to be successful and insure it is implemented

HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR / DISTRICT RESOURCE• Target - Joplin, MO & Branson, MO

Responsibilities include being the Employee Relations District Resource for 16 stores.

Oversaw the identification of staffing needs and coordination of recruitment (600+ employees) .

Directly accountable for supervising the Human Resources Team. Ensured all training of new

Human Resources Managers in the District was complete in a timely and efficient manner.

Manage work programs involving worker’s compensation. Conduct all interviewing, hiring,

training and development of management personnel. Responsible for talent acquisitions and

development for district. Administered benefit plans and policies yearly, and made

recommendations for benefit plans. Coordinated all college recruiting job fairs for Team Leaders

and Management. Ensure all EEO, Federal, State, and local laws and compliance are met.

Implement corporate policies at the store level and oversee mentoring program, FMLA, safety

programs, payroll, corrective actions, and terminations.

Accomplishments Include: Traveled to various store locations nationwide, to assist with new

store human resources opening procedures (training, policy, and recruiting). Actively involved in

promoting team leaders to managers and opening three high profile locations. Achieved the

Highest Retention in the entire region (300+ stores). Received awards for best headcount,

turnover (from 146% down to 51%), employee survey results, and development of Team

Leaders in the district. (January 2007 – July 2009)

FRONT END MANAGER• Old-Navy - Joplin, MO

Oversaw all human resources policies and procedures while scheduling 40 employees and

ensured the achievement of all company goals. Supervise customer service issues to ensure

maximum customer satisfaction, while maintaining the interests of the company. Coordinate

yearly employee evaluations, and administer in timely manner. Oversaw financial operational

procedures and maintained accurate sales and accounting records/documentation.

Completed all recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of staff. Conducted

evaluations and performance reviews for over 30 personnel. Ensured product knowledge,

training, sales techniques, customer service and inventory control were regularly achieved.

Assisted the store and district management with store assessments and training. (September

company.

Managed department operations and directed the restoration of 4 underperforming retail store

departments. Interviewed, hired, trained, reprimanded, and scheduled 10 employees and

ensured the achievement of all company goals. Implemented merchandising programs and

increased sales. Gross sales averaged between $4 and $5 million annually. (June 1999 –

September 2003

Accomplishments Included: Trained all new Team Leaders in Southern Missouri and Northern

Arkansas to ensure core values of the position were learned. Built and maintained a great group
