Dear MACS,

I am very interested in your client’s Sourcing Contract & Project Manager position and would like to be

considered for this. I have over 20 years experience in supply chain management, including strategic sourcing

for Intel as well as Hewlett-Packard. My skills include supplier sourcing and contract management with

services, inventoried parts, as well as capital equipment. Here are a few examples of my recent

accomplishments:

Managed the global supplier planning and procurement of capital equipment for Intel factories worldwide,

managing buyers and suppliers internationally. Results: Successfully negotiated global multi-million dollar

deals for capital equipment purchases.

Managed the materials and services contracts, and a team of buyers and suppliers, required to start up the

world’s largest semiconductor factory. Results: All materials and service contracts were in place on time to

ramp Intel’s largest semiconductor manufacturing facility.

Analyzed global supply base and implemented a supplier optimization strategy. Results: Consolidated 77

suppliers worldwide and generated $3.1M in cost savings.

My strengths include the ability to develop strong relationships inside and outside the company, gaining

consensus, and delivering results. In addition, I was the founder of a small business that now employs over 15

people with an annual budget over $1m/year so I know how to project manage to a timeline and budget. I

believe I would be an asset to your client and look forward to talking with you about this position. Thank you

for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Mary A. Taylor
