WORK EXPERIENCE
Masters Technical Report
University of Georgia - January 2013 to Present
Jan'13 - Present
Mortgage Backed Securities
• Studying different types of pay rules along with different ways of allocating principal among various CMO
bonds and interest being allocated among bonds. It describes some of the commonly used methods of
modeling prepayment behaviors. To implement this, I have used the model
proposed by Richard and Roll (1989) and examine different term structure models for use in pricing MBS and
CMO structures
• Analyzing the MBS data for a decade from Federal Reserve using SAS in order to determine the most
significant parameters for the stochastic
model using various approaches such as principal component analysis etc.
Graduate Teaching Assistant
University of Georgia - Athens, GA - August 2011 to Present
Conducting and coordinating recitations for Analytic Geometry and Calculus, mentoring students with course
webassign, administer Quizzes
• Tutoring mathematics courses including Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Multivariable Calculus, Introduction to
Mathematical Modeling, Elementary
Differential Equations. Created and evaluated Homework assignments, Quizzes/Tests for Linear Algebra,
Calculus
Summer Intern
University of Georgia - Athens, GA - May 2012 to July 2012
Programmed various mathematical models (system of partial differential equations) constructed on Microbial
Fuel Cells (MFC)
• Formulated and defined scope and objectives through researched analysis of MFC structures, construction,
performance and degradation with various model solutions and numerical techniques using MAPLE and
MATLAB
• Responsible for Quality Assurance and integrity of data collected, analysis performed and reports generated
• Compiled the effects of different components used in MFC, compared model simulations with experimental
results which addressed issues relating to enhancement of power output and efficiency
Projects
University of Georgia - May 2012 to July 2012
Estimated mortality rates using Multiple Linear Regression regressed around the three categories of weather,
socioeconomic and pollution
variables. Analyzed multicollinearity, conducted residual analysis, built the appropriate model using stepwise
regression and based on various test
results (F-test and p-values etc.)
Statistical analysis of Cell phone usage Oct'12 - Dec'12
• Analyzed the monthly cell phone usage of 1000 users from user's location, age, race, sex and educational
background using General Linear Model to explain the response variable, i.e. the measure of monthly cell
phone usage by the 5 demographic variables or some subsets. Full effect model,
single effect model and model with interaction were studied and a suitable model was selected using various
tests statistics and criterion (LSD test,
AIC/BIC etc.)
Assistant Manager
ICICI Bank Pvt. Ltd - November 2008 to May 2011
Improved customer life cycle for online remittance customers, provide insights to explore opportunities to
reduce cost, acquire and attract new
customers in addition to developing models to understand customer profitability, predict dormancy and
increase volume of remittances
• Facilitated and provided advisory services to high net-worth(HNI) customers on investment plans, financial
products
• Assumed responsibility for preparing and evaluating monthly and annual financial reports and led projects
related to technical accounting analysis
• Optimized various banking operations: Forex operations, reconciliation of inventory/deliverables/security
documents, monitored clearing & suspense accounts & MIS and attained proficiency with internal banking
application software (FCRM, SDLS, FINACLE, I-VIEW, STAFFWARE, SOX)
