Paid Research Assistant, Colorado State University-Pueblo (January 2012-August 2013)
Chemistry Teaching Assistant, Colorado State University-Pueblo (August 2011-December 2011)
Education
M.S. Chemistry, Colorado State University-Pueblo, CO (July, 2013)
Advisor: Dr. Chad A. Kinney
Thesis: The Influence of Cationic High Molecular Weight Polymers on the Presence and
Fate of Nutrients, Anthropogenic Organic Contaminants and Heavy Metals in Biosolids.
B.S. Chemistry ACS certified, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ (May 2011)
University of Essex Study Abroad Program (January-June 2009)
Research
M.S. thesis topic: The influence of high molecular weight polymer addition to biosolids during
dewatering is poorly understood. The cationic nature of the polymer changes leaching
characteristics and should be considered when applying biosolids to agricultural land or
forest reclamation sites as a fertilizer.

Advisor: Dr. Eugene Chen
Title: Cross-coupling and Dimerization of Hydroxymethylfurfural and Furfural to
Produce Biofuel Precursors.
Northern Arizona University Undergraduate Research Experience. Busick K., Dunbar M.K., Hai
L., and Saaty K. (2010)
Advisor: Dr. Brian Majestic
