Capital One Financial Corporation July 2010 to Present

IT Senior Manager – Quality Services

• Manage a testing service with a budget of $8MM with 17 associates and 65 contractors providing

approximately 150,000 hours annually.

• Lead change agent for the Enterprise Data Services group on the Quality Services Agile Transformation team,

responsible for creating and implementing Agile Testing across the department.

• Led the effort to procure a managed service vendor. This included gathering requirements, RFP development,

vendor candidate interviews, and results reviews.

• Integrated Test Lead for a project that crossed 26 separate platforms. Responsibilities included data / process

analysis for each platform, coordination of code delivery timelines, creation of integrated test cases,

managing the day to day activities during execution, impediment resolution, and executive reporting of

testing results. This effort allowed the company to make a go decision for a production implementation of a

portfolio acquisition.

• Continue to develop partnerships with cross-QS leadership and project delivery teams to improve the

efficiency of integrated testing efforts across multiple complex platforms.

COMSYS 2008 - 2010

Senior Project Manager Consultant

• Successfully created a production-scale test environment and captured performance test results in 6 weeks on

a very complex application. This involved procurement and set up of hardware, installation and configuration

of all software, and creation, execution, and metrics capturing of specific performance test cases. These

results enabled senior leadership to make a grounded decision on the replacement of the application.

• Managed the closing of two data centers and moved the functionality into the corporate data center, as part of

a Data Center consolidation effort.

• Implemented a revenue-generating Rewards checking account for the Small Business Line of Business with

an ROI of $6MM.

• Pro-actively partnered with support teams to ensure project obstacles were overcome and projects were

delivered on schedule.

Capital One Financial Corporation 2002 - 2007

Reporting Manager

• Managed the US Card IT Portfolio Office reporting initiatives, including Monthly Business Reviews with

Senior Executives, portfolio manager analytical reports, and ad-hoc reporting.

• Created an automated project portfolio reporting framework based on a corporate system of record. This

allowed for a reduction of 25% of department staff that was needed to support the previous application.

Additionally, executive reporting accuracy and timeliness was improved to more than 95%.
