Integrated Defense System

Operational Mission Simulator (OMS) for Ground Support Segment (GSS)

Responsibilities include: modified existing code to work in different

configuration. Integrated ACSSIM with other components of OMS GSS

software. ACSSIM CSC simulates the provision of ADIRU, FMC, and RTP ARINC

429 Messages to the Mission Computer Subsystem (MCS) to support training of

Aircraft Navigation features.

ACSIM is also responsible for providing Secondary Power Distribute Assembly

(SPDA) power to Aircraft Identical Equipment (AIE) in lab environment.

The software is developed in C++ and will be executed on both Linux O/S and

Windows XP O/S.

Supporting all three AEW&C programs (Australia, Korea, and Turkey)

Integrated Defense System

Radar Sensor System

Responsibilities include: designed coded, testing and integrating the APS-

137 radar system with Radar Sensor Manager Software which is part of the

Mission Computing and Display Subsystem (MCDS). Boeing is responsible for

designing the entire MCDS software while Raytheon is responsible for

supplying the APS-137 radar hardware. Also helped with coding/testing

other sensors as well as other group within MCDS. Java programming

language was used on this project.

A member of the Next Generation Radar (NGR), my responsibility includes:

software design requirement document (SDRD) using Doors, software

implementation, confident testing and Verification and Validation (V&V)

testing of the software. The NGR s/w utilizes Motorola power PC processor

as well as DSP processors. C and C++ programming language were used.

Responsibility included: Setting up the development lab for Sentrol

Application and upgrading the production Sentrol Application Software.

Sentrol is an application which receives wireless alarm / test message from

the skybox, a backup wireless signal to the land-line alarm system. The

software is written in C++ on NT platform using Microsoft Visual Studio.

Skybox is provisioned via Sentrol website.

Software Engineer for Electronic Products, S/W Tools Group.

Responsible for writing s/w tools to support real-time embedded s/w, mostly

VAX VMS DCL scripts and UNIX shell scripts plus C programming. The tool is

an outer shell for the Rational Apex / TestMate product. The tool is used

by test group to perform computer performance verification (CPV) on the

Line Replaceable Unit (LRU).

Responsibilities include: implemented, coded and tested ARINC 429 I/O for

767 Flap/Slat Electronic Unit (FSEU). The programming language to use for

this program was ADA. This is new AVIONICS software to be used on the new

767-400 ER (extended range) model of the 767.

Software Engineer for Command & Control Software (CCS) for Space Station

Responsibilities include: designed, coded and integrated I/O for CCS

Software for the C&C Multiplexer/Demultiplexer Module (MDM).

1553 MIL-STD buses are used. There are eleven 1553 buses connected between

C&C MDMs and the external devices.

Software Engineer for Warning Electronic System for 777 Airplanes

Responsibilities include: designed, coded and integrated ARINC 429 S/W,

which is used by Warning Electronic Unit (WEU) to communicate between the

WEU channels. Motorola processor MC68030 is used for the WEU LRU. Ada

programming is used.

Responsibilities include: designing, coding and integration of the WES

System BITE Test S/W for the WEU LRU.

Also responsible for building the WEU OPS S/W for the WEU Design and

Factory BITE Software (FBS) teams to insure the configuration management is

not lost.

Software Engineer for Tactical Subsystem Software (TSS) for P3 Update IV

Program

Responsibilities include: wrote the MITD (Master Integration and Test

Demonstration) to support the S/W release. This was a functional test

level.

Radar Management software which is part of the Data Processor/Data

Generator Unit (DP/DGU). Motorola MC68030 processor is used for the DP/DGU.
