Logistic Management Specialist - Monitor aviation and missile units for
issues; prepare reports for the senior leadership identifying issues that
can cause deployment problems. As a logistic specialist my duties include:
Serving as operational planning advisor, receiving and processing parts
requisitions using various part databases to determine if stock is
available and the location of the part; and finding the Program Managers of
particular weapon systems to expedite the release of the requisition to get
the helicopter or missile systems operational. I use part tracking
databases to check on the status of requisitions when the customer requests
the information or when updates are provided for the requisitions. When
taskers are given from AMCOM's higher headquarters, a logistic specialist
assigns the tasker to the appropriate organization, tracks the response and
ensures the response is provided to the tasker originator. Prepare daily
and weekly briefings for significant activities that need to be reported to
the senior leadership and other shifts. Provide guidance, direction,
advice, and assistance to each new AMCOM employee on the development and
execution of mission requirements. Extract important information for
reports that need senior leadership visibility. Use classified and non-
classified computer systems to read, extract, and gather information for
situation reports, communications routing for classified and non-classified
