Director Global Operations

Responsible for Global oversight of all manufacturing and supply chain

functions for the Aerospace Coatings Business. Operations include

facilities in US and Europe.

. Eliminated over 150,000 sq. ft. of warehousing concurrent to

improving Plant

throughput, delivering saving over $1.5MM

. Using business improvement process have delivered > $500M

savings annually for past 7 years

. Implemented hybrid JIT reducing RM inventory footprint, improving

RM

turns from 5 to > 14

. Improved service levels from ~ 78% to >95% w/ less inventory

. Implemented consignment on over 30% of RM by value

. Started RM chemical consortium to sell non-core RM's to non-related

companies. Result - additional $1MM in revenue w/o incremental

cost.

. Implemented RM trade w/ Europe utilizing weekly containers shipping

Responsibilities included 4 Plants, their Operations and Supply chain

functions for a Tier 1 Automotive supplier having ~ 230 employees.

. Developed strategy, executed Factory consolidation, taking

business from four sites to two, eliminating redundancies in

capacity, inventory, fixed OH, etc... Resulted in taking a loss

making business to profitability in 2 years. Managed

consolidation on time, below budget and seamless to market.

. Improved operating income 5 fold in less than 3 years through

site consolidation, factory productivity gains, global sourcing

strategy.

. Responsible for business wide continuous improvement program

that delivered annual savings from reformulation, sourcing and

waste reduction programs that approximated $1MM to $1.2MM

. To inspire involvement in a unionized environment, I created a

self-funding "Gain Share" program. Paid financial incentives

quarterly for factory cost reduction ideas that saved thousands,

encouraged employee participation

. Implemented an integrated logistics program w/ TPL, lowered

freight ~ $225M.

. Lead contract negotiator for three UAW contracts with positive

results.

. Developed market plan that promoted conventional technologies

for non-conventional non-automotive applications, such as casket
