CNC Machinist

Houston Precision Process, Houston, TX Sept. 2007 – July 2013

Machinist/Supervisor

Loaded and unloaded material and parts, created packing slips, verified the shipment and have

over a year of transport experience using a truck and gooseneck trailer.

Used bandsaws to cut round barstock to length, and by using a pi tape, calculated a length in

order to cut the barstock to a predetermined weight requested by the customer.

Gained knowledge of sawing and machining various materials such as carbon/stainless steel,

brass, bronze, aluminum, titanium, waspaloy, rene65 and Inconel.

Operated and set up a radial arm drill press to bore through parts as well as adding pockets.

Operated Haas and J&L machines, set and centered tooling, occasional editing to programs and

performed preventative maintenance.

Used an Excel spreadsheet to create and maintain daily production schedules. Also monitored,

modified and forecasted production and ship dates to better customer service. Daily usage of

email, fax machine and a company cell phone to maintain customer contact on and off the job

site.

Created a system to keep track of material usage, by request of one customer, in order to

maintain traceability of the material and its heat treatment, maintain an adequate level of material

on hand and placed orders when needed, provided work order information for their accounting

purposes and managed the order in which the work was performed so that the material was used

efficiently to increase the customers profitability.

Participated in inventory related investigations by verifying information physically and comparing it

to records obtained from our inventory system.

Assisted the plant manager in yearly inventory reports that were performed in house and by our

Ensured that all discards and turnings were kept orderly and segregated so that they were
