March 2011 - Present

SR. MANAGER, AVIATION MAINT. OPERATIONS – Presidential Helicopter Squadron (HMX-1) Quantico, VA

Led and mentored 40+ work center personnel consisting of both Marines and civilians that included their work schedule,

qualifications, well-being, and conflict resolution in support of the President and Vice President of the United States.

• Managed the day to day operations of the maintenance performed on VH-3D and VH-60N Presidential helicopters.

• Identified, assessed and executed the strategic restructuring of the phase maintenance processes resulting in a reduction of

phase maintenance time from a 5 day evolution to 3 days, resulting in increased aircraft readiness while reducing the cost of

maintenance.

Developed and supervised the implementation of a new process in auditing procedures which resulted in 4 out of 4 programs

managed to be labeled as model programs by Commander Naval Air Forces Inspection team.

June 2009 – March 2011

MANAGER, AVIATION MAINT. OPERATIONS – Presidential Helicopter Squadron (HMX-1) Quantico, VA

Led and mentored 30+ work center personnel consisting of both Marines and civilians in support of the Executive Flight

Detachment, Officer Candidate School and military officials.

• Managed the operations of maintenance performed on CH-46E and CH-53E Presidential Support Helicopters.

Designed and employed a fail-proof program audit procedure that resulted in all programs managed to receive 0

discrepancies and the Commander Naval Air Forces Inspection team to label the division as the most efficient, productive,

and best managed division the team has ever inspected.

Championed the successful training plan that cross-trained 20+ maintainers and inspectors between the CH-46E and CH-

53E.

May 2008 – June 2009

Led the maintenance department consisting of 200+ personnel, in areas of safety, final inspections of maintenance actions,

managed and monitored programs, and test evolutions of CH-46E and Ch-53E helicopters.

Supervised the completion of 40 phase maintenance inspections and inspected over 250 flight critical maintenance actions.

• Established a program to ensure all aircraft functional check flights were properly briefed, administered, debriefed, and

tracked of over 200 Functional Check Flights (FCF).

• Served as a member of a technical task force which investigated trouble areas, conducted trend analysis, and provided

recommendations to senior leadership and outside agencies for corrective actions.

November 2006 – May 2008

deploying to Iraq for combat operations.

• Directed all phases of breakdown and buildup evolutions for 14 CH-46E aircraft transported to Iraq for combat operations.

• Responsible for the inspection and completion of 38 programs within the maintenance department ensuring all procedures

are followed in accordance with all government and civilian regulations.

Responsible for all ground and aviation safety related matters within the squadron which consisted of 250+ personnel and 14

aircraft both in the continental United States and in a combat environment.

• Developed “The Safe Passenger Campaign” that ensured the safety of passenger transportation during combat operations.

• Championed the efforts to prevent heat casualties in a combat environment where temperatures reach well over 130 degrees,

which resulted in zero heat related injuries.
