Radiation Therapist, August 2009-June 2013
While employed at the Palm Beach Gardens location of SFRO, I also assisted
at their 5 other locations in Wellington, Boynton Beach, Jupiter, Stuart
and Port St. Lucie as needed.
Efficiently operated linear accelerators including Siemens Primus with
Lantis software and Varian's Trilogy, 21EX, 2300IX and True Beam with both
Varis and Aria software. Effectively performed patient set ups and patient
simulations using GE LightSpeed and GE BrightSpeed CT scanners.
Strong knowledge in implementing clinical electrons, 3D conformal, IMRT,
Rapid Arc, SBRT, IGRT with OBI, KV, portal imaging and CT Cone beam.
Participated in Quality Assurance by effectively performing machine warm up
procedures and participating in chart rounds.
Effectively manipulated mold room equipment by making electron and photon
blocks according to the treatment plan. Strong knowledge of brachytherapy,
operated Nucletron HDR Afterloader for the treatments of prostate cancer,
breast cancer (Balloon and SAVI devices), gynecological cancer (Vaginal
cylinder, tandem and ovoids, Miami applicator) and skin cancer (Leipzig
applicator and Freiberg Flap applicator).
My duties as a Therapist were as follows:
