2 RECENT EXPERIENCE
1995 - 2010 Cambridge Health Alliance/Cambridge Hospital, Cambridge, MA
3 Clinical Leader, Medical/Surgical Floors - As resource person and
technical leader, I guided floor staff based on my clinical expertise. I
worked closely with the nurse manager to ensure staff clearly understood
nursing principles and took best advantage of available clinical
experience. During a period of shifting roles and structural changes to
hospital organization, I provided context for staff to continue to deliver
high quality care with a minimum of administrative disruption or
uncertainty.
Charge Nurse, Medical/Surgical Floors - As charge nurse, I made immediate
clinical and administrative decisions to ensure smooth operation of the
floor and a consistent work environment for the staff. By having my own
patient assignment, I served as example to recent graduate and less
experienced nurses as preceptor.
1991 - 1995 Commonwealth Health Care, Newton, MA
Clinical Coordinator - In this position, I developed patient-care plans and
coordinated healthcare services for a portfolio of clients in a service
area that included all of New England. Meeting high standards for care
within cost targets meant I coordinated care from multiple vendors with
careful monitoring. In some cases, I provided direct care to patients in my
area. I developed a detailed knowledge of various program requirements and
diagnostic criteria. I tracked home-based care delivery, audited paperwork,
and ensured quality of care to clients.
