Directed 22 - 25 hourly Operators, Inspectors, Trainers, and Drivers in a
unionized environment to achieve company objectives.
Developed / Directed cross-functional continuous improvement teams using
empowerment, discipline, follow through, encouragement, training, problem
solving, and mutual respect. (Mid-Ohio, Safety Teams). Employees
accomplished safety, quality, and efficiency improvements. (refresher
training, ball bearings vs. casters, container protection, paper to glass
technique)
Justified the purchase and fabrication of a training cell and utilized it
to train employees in safety procedures (including LOTO), proper inspection
techniques, qualification testing, and improvement of speeds to meet
budgeted standards.
Standardized work through certifying trainers on how to train and create
work instructions with digital pictures.
Created a training department.
Implemented a Defect Map Program that utilized highly visual aids to
emphasize problem areas on problem parts.
Created a new Car Program. Coordinated with Car Dealers that sold cars with
our glass to park cars in a showcase area on our lot. This helped to
instill pride within our company culture at no cost.
Trained 131 new hires in a 3 month span. (June 2011 to August 2011)

Implemented an Autonomous Maintenance system to support the Total
Productive Maintenance program.
Safety - Zero lost time accidents
Quality - Increased 1st pass yield from 85% to 95%
Delivery - Improved on time delivery from 79.4% to 93% within 6 months of
hire date (5 production lines). This was the highest on time delivery
performance in the history of the company.
Cost - Improved productivity by 30% through automation, scheduling, and
reducing in-process inspections.
Implemented Lean Manufacturing (5S, kanbans, Value Stream Mapping, TPM,
etc throughout the assembly production lines / cells.
Utilized PPAP and FMEA procedures for new and existing products and

Implemented an employee suggestion kiosk. Employee suggestions are reviewed

Plant Production Manager of three-shift production facility. Direct
reports: two production managers. Indirect reports: 11 supervisors and 400+
hourly team members.
Set a company record, twice, for the most quality cabinets built in an 8
hour shift. (We were the youngest of all assembly facilities by 9 years.)
In addition to producing finished components for internal assembly
operations, began producing and shipping finished components to other
assembly facilities and achieved 100% on time and complete delivery
performance beginning with the first shipment.
Increased finishing productivity by 9% while increasing total finishing
