1980 - Graduated from Annville Cleona High School
I have completed approximately 2 years of college, working towards my degree in community and human
services.
E MPLOYMENT
November 2009-Present time: I am currently employed at Fredericksburg community health care
office. My position is receptionist/front office staff. My responsibilities include check in and check out of patients
and answering incoming calls on a multiline phone system. Included in the check in and check out process, I use
t he Medent system to enter all of the patients information including insurance information. I work with insurance
companies to obtain authorizations as well as other issues. I also schedule appointments for patients.
September 2007 - August 2009: I was employed through a local mental health facility for two years. I
was in a support staff position as secretary to two psychiatrists. My duties included, but not limited to scheduling
appointments, auditing charts, filing, working with insurance companies for medication management
authorizations and for medication authorizations, answering a multiline telephone, helping at the front desk with
check in and check out, Interaction with other facilities for inpatient as well as outpatient care for our clients and
data entry on the computer. I type approx. 90 wpm with 95 percent accuracy. I left this position for personal
reasons which will be explained at interview.
December 2005 - 2007: I was employed with Abilities in Motion (AIM) in Reading Pennsylvania as a home
health aid/nursing assistant. I cared for a disabled woman with Cerebral Palsy. My duties included bathing,
toileting, and personal needs as well as basic house cleaning and general upkeep of her home. I retired from this
position when the husband of the woman took over her care when he became unemployed.
April 2005 - November 2005. The Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. I was employed as a nursing
assistant in I MCU. I took care of the basic needs of the patients on the floor . Those needs included, bathing,
toileting, ambulating, transferring, taking vitals, inserting catheters, restocking dressing carts and charting on
t he computer. I left this position to care for the woman with CP (she was my patient at the GSH and hired me to
care for her at home).
May 2004-April 2005: Renova Center in Lebanon. I was employed as a Developmental Assistant. My
responsibilities included the daily care of the residents. The residents consisted of mentally and physically
handicapped people from the ages of 15 through 90 years old. I left this position to work at the local hospital.
April 1988 through January 1999 - Self employed day care provider. My responsibilities included the care
of the children. I took care of them on a daily basis and provided meals and a safe environment for play and
learning.
January 1981-September 1981: Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging: I was employed as a Clerk
T ypist. My responsibilities included typing, filing, answering a multi line telephone, greeting and directing
v isitors and clients as well as assisting the case workers as needed. I also helped with operating the radio for
communication between the office and mini busses for transport of clients. I left this position due to my first
p regnancy. I became a stay at home mom for the next several years while my family grew in size to include 3
children over the next 7 years.
