Process/Project Engineer
Led and implemented manufacturing, environmental, and capital projects with
responsibilities including scope development, economic analysis and justification, and
management of project timeline and cost.
• Initiated and led
team project that reduced annual production labor costs and increased reliability by $ 234,000 annually
through implementation of bottle sorter/unscrambler, ergonomic improvement and efficiency analysis.
The efficiency data was generated by a Serac filler machine and exported to Excel for further examination
and breakdown.
• Designed and implemented a pesticide waste water collection and Ultra
filtration and reverse osmosis system filtration system that reduced off-site disposal
costs by $50,000 annually and removed >99% of the pesticide.
• Increased sustainability, reliability and decreased micro contamination of a
USP grade water system resulting in an annual savings of $140,000 and with a
capital investment of $25,000 for increased controls and piping.
Decreased DI bottle usage 90% by optimizing deionization configuration
o
(50K)
o Recycled RO reject water at low water usage times (60K)
o Increased RO recovery by improved pre-treatment (30K)
• Led a multidisciplinary team that designed, implemented and established
training for waste alcohol collection system that created $50,000 revenue annually
and reduced environmental impact of waste cleaning alcohol by 75,000 gal
annually.
• Collaborated and provided technical expertise within a multi-disciplined
team (production, BMT, Quality, Microbiologist) in an effort to validate a Class II
Quality air system and USP Grade water system. The validations were in response
to a customer audit.
• Implemented testing and analyzed data for a waste water treatment plant
that was used as a basis for preliminary design using Capdet Works and continual
improvement of waste water treatment plant.
• Developed Process Flow Diagrams, P&ID’s and facility drawings for plant
infrastructure, production lines and batch processes for large aerosol facility in
support of projects.
Compounding Supervisor (temporary assignment) Jan. 2012–March
2012
• Supervised 10+ union employees involved with the batch compounding of liquid and aerosol
products.
