• Responsible for identifying and resolving welding issues on multiple stamping machines
• Trained operators, and supervisors to look for waste in their operations and give them a channel to
make improvements.
Pressroom Manager, Flex-N-Gate, Battle Creek MI 2003/ July 2009
• Transferred from Assembly to Pressroom due to realignment within the corporation bringing new
products to the facility.
• Reduced PPM (defective parts per million) from 150 to fewer than 10 using systems I developed to
empower employees.
• Reduced annual customer claims from 20 to less than 3.
• Launched new product with less than 50 PPM and reduced one (1) shift using continuous
improvement techniques.
• The company’s direct contact for New Product with the domestic and foreign auto manufacturers.
• While performing duties as Pressroom Manager also managed the materials group to increase
inventory turns from 18 to 45.

• While performing duties as Assembly Manager I also managed the transformation from QS9000 to
TS-16949.

• Responsible for direct customer contact for quality issues, process improvement and cost reduction.
• Reduced manpower by 50% on Radiator Support line.
• Reduced PPM from over 5,000 to less than 50.
