Tool Room Supervisor;

Supervised and assigned jobs to tool room employees, along with approving weekly time cards

and vacation requests. I would review each tool room employee every 6 months from the day

they started and determine if they warranted a pay increase. I ordered raw material and support

tooling when needed. I worked with the Cad Room on fixture design making suggestions for

ease of machining and mounting when needed, offered knowledgeable support. Built tube end

form tooling along with tooling for bending tubes used for automotive and military mobile

equipment, using manual Bridgeport style milling machine along with manual lathes and surface

grinder. Cost conservative to the company. Very knowledgeable of materials & tooling. Greet

and assist machine and tooling sales representatives.

Toolmaker;

Parts made by manual lathe such as turning facing to length drilling and tapping. Using manual

milling machines to mill out shapes, slots and modifying existing parts so they adapt to the

machine design.

1990-2005;

The Wire Shop Inc.

Tool & Die Maker;

Building progressive and form dies as well as fixtures from blueprints. This work is done using

Bridgeport style machines along with surface grinders both wet and dry, radial and standard drill

presses, and an engine lathe. These tools are then tried out in presses ranging from 75 tons to 250

tons. Sample parts are then run off in the quantity the customer wants anywhere from 25 to 500

pieces and the parts are checked to the latest part print for overall size, hole and form location and

the angle of any bends. All variations are noted and the customer is notified of such for approval

or rejection. While running the samples the die or tool is gone over to make sure that it feeds

freely and that nothing binds up anywhere. When necessary holes are plug welded using stick or

mig and relocated. Die sections and punches are welded whether they are A-2 or D-2 for

immediate use while new parts are made. I have welded both A-2 and D-2 tool steels and

aluminum using tig. I have built numerous fixtures using all three forms of welding. My SPC

comes from checking the sample parts and not playing the tolerances.

I can also braze and weld cast iron if needed. Stamco Industries is a
