1988-96 Smith/Tomlin Woodworking, Hunt, Texas (partner). Constructing large
custom homes entirely with in-house forces. Set-up custom cabinetry shop
in order to build custom cabinets and mill-working. Conducted take-offs
cost estimating for complete building projects both residential and light
commercial.
1997-Present Horizons Trace, Inc., Utopia, Texas. Chief Operations Officer. Building of
"high-end" custom homes in Hill Country of Texas. Job duties include
preliminary meeting of prospective clients and all subsequent meetings
including execution of construction contract. All job-site evaluations,
calculating proposals and bid process. Formulating all cost estimates from
Blueprints. Supervising of all aspects of building site and construction
including extensive landscaping, pools, roads, bridges, and driveways.
Guiding clients through blueprint design questions, permit and fee
requirements, interim financing, and closing/possession process. Work
with appraisers, financial institutions, title companies, building material
suppliers, independent contractors, architect firms, and building
inspectors, with the main priority "to have the best quality product
possible and a satisfied client at all times."
