through lockbox, manual payments and on-line credit card transactions.
Develop annual operating budget and prepare quarterly analysis of budgeted versus
actual expenditures for presentation to the Board of Trustees.
Prepare interim quarterly financial statements for all plans for distribution to the Board
of Trustees, Executive Director and outside professionals.
Review and approve Form 5500s, 990s, 1099s, W-2s, federal withholding and state
withholding tax returns filed annually and/or quarterly.
Work with external auditors, co-counsel and actuary on all financial and statutory
reporting matters affecting plan operations and design.
Develop models and forecasts of financial impact from changes to pension, health and
annuity benefit programs offered to bargaining unit employees pursuant to triennial
collective bargaining agreement negotiations.
Manage transition of banking and custodial relationships to new financial institution.
Coordinate testing and live implementation of finance/accounting and inter -
departmental modules for SQL based custom ERP system.
Oversee the work of supervisory staff on financial recordkeeping functions, internal
audit processes and reporting, collection efforts against delinquent contributing
employers and external payroll compliance audits.
