Programmer/Analyst
Develop, test, and support multithreaded software used for monitoring nationwide
elections in real time. This software has to maintain a high degree of reliability and
performance. A significant portion of the code base was developed using JAVA and
SQL, interacting with a Sybase database. It heavily utilizes JDBC and JMS.
Produce technical documentation using Javadocs, MS Word, and OneNote.
Provide technical support to customers as well as staff members.
Develop and maintain an internal web application used for tracking sales and
customers. ASP, Visual Basic, and MS SQL Server are the primary components of
this application.
Produce customized reports from databases, as well as log files, per user request.

Programmer/Analyst
Developed a system to catalogue the collection of a photojournalist. The system
tracks images, negative, prints, slides, and related documentation. The user interface
and database access was implemented in Borland C++ Builder. The database was MS
SQL7 running under Windows/NT. Remote database access was accomplished
through ODBC for portability.
Designed and implemented web pages for restaurants. Used Adobe Photoshop and
Corel Draw for graphics. Programmed in HTML, JavaScript, and CGI.
Consultant for the Associated Press
Provided support for the Associated Press’ election software. This included server
configuration, monitoring, and debugging in preparation for and during live national
elections.
Generated reports for users from a Sybase database.
Provided application support to staff members.
