KEY PROJECTS
Managed:
Development team consisting of software, design, mechanical, and electrical engineers from four companies
including UTC. Currently eight months into development. Final product to be delivered by year-end.
Full-cycle implementation of new Deltek expense reporting software system. New system integrated directly
with accounting system providing significant manpower savings throughout payroll process. Negotiated 10%
savings on implementation costs.
The competition, selection, and implementation of new HRIS software. Through negotiations achieved a
price reduction of 50% proving an annual savings of $32,467.40 and implementation cost savings of
$10,690.00. The implementation period for this system was six months. Upon installation, company
experienced a savings from previous HRIS annual cost while, also having a more comprehensive system
reducing internal required Human Resource manpower hours.
The outsourcing of composite kit cutting. This project took 18 months requiring significant engineering
manpower. Results saved significant recurring internal man-hours and avoided the procurement of additional
cutting equipment and freezer storage. In addition, the vendor that took over the kit cutting, took liability of
managing the shelf life of material resulting in savings of over $500,000 in lost material costs a year.
Selected 500 parts procured by dozens of vendors and developed one vendor able to manage all 500 parts.
Managed the development of vendor, negotiations, and transition to new vendor resulting in savings of
$451,750 per year.
Outsourcing of products for five GE locations including two European sites. Led the team, having assistant
project leads at each site. Worked to outsource hundreds of like products to overseas manufacturers resulting
in an average 30% cost savings for the business units.
From launch, the leasing and renovation of an additional 3,000 square foot office space. Negotiated 12
months at half rent resulting in a total savings of $39,039 or $3,253.25 per month as well as an additional
$17,295 for renovation expenses, which LJT fully utilized in the design of the new space expansion.
Personally designed the layout of the new space, managed cost and schedule with both the Architect and the
Contractors, managed procurement of furniture, installation, and the office move. Project completed on time
and within renovation budget.
A second expansion lease and renovation for a separate 1,000 square foot space to support a new business.
Led negotiations with property management company resulted in a 10% reduction in overall cost. Managed
all procurements required for new business including furniture, service installation, and required work
vehicles. Negotiated significant savings on all procurements finishing project within budget and on schedule.
