Major accomplishments:
Developed standards and specifications for seven major product categories which resulted in
10% improvement in accepted lots and 50% reduction in customer returns.
Worked onsite with foreign supplier to change manufacturing process to cellular workshop
concept. Resulting improvements included 67% reduction in number of process steps, 75%
reduction in cycle time, 20% improvement in on-time delivery, and 40% reduction in quality
rejects.
Created supplier assessment and development program to work with potential and existing
suppliers that enabled Longaberger to qualify three new candle suppliers and start up a new
line of bath and body products.

Led a team of five Engineers and two Quality professionals charged with the optimization of processes
and product quality through the teaching and application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process
Mapping, 5S, Kaizen principles. Also responsible for major capital projects, equipment/product/process
qualifications/validations, new product development process, quality standards, quality audits, standard
operating procedures, problem solving, process development, process control, and tooling inventory/
repair.
Major accomplishments:
Completed three-year, $23M project on time and on budget to move from a batch
manufacturing operation to a cellular, lean manufacturing operation. Results of this project include
98% reduction in cycle time (from 168 hours down to four hours), 80% reduction in quality rejects, and
37% decrease in indirect to direct labor support ratio.
