the 101st Airborne Division; advised on all National, Army, Department of Defense policies, deployments,
funding and personnel manning. Managed command group staff of 8 and supervised completion of all
administrative and policy actions for the entire division.
• Advised Commanding General on sequestration and furlough policies concerning the division’s budget
of over $100M; recommended cuts and actions concerning fiscal budget cuts
• Liaison for all Congressional delegates and other General Officers; handled countless Congressional
requests for information and planned all VIP visits to Ft. Campbell
• Managed and responded to all information and communications to the Emergency Operations Cell;
managed and advised commander of all serious incidents to include deaths, accidents, emergency
management requests, explosive ordinance disposal requests, civil and terroristic threats
Division Deputy Operations Officer Ft. Campbell, KY Aug 12- Mar 13
Second to the Director of Operations for the 101st Airborne Division and its 32,000 Soldiers; managed all the
Division training requirements and equipment fielding to meet fiscal budgetary and Commanding General’s
policy. Advised the Director of Operations on areas of training, policy, budget, antiterrorism and force
protection; managed all internal staff actions.
• Responded and created training guidance in response to fiscal sequestration and the political climate;
created and enforced new training guidance to meet the $25M reduction in the division’s operations
budget
• Coordinated manning, training, equipment fielding and deployment actions for preparation of combat
operations in Afghanistan that included 16,000 Soldiers and equipment exceeding $30M of equipment
• Acted as the head Antiterrorism and Force Protection Officer for the division; evaluated and resourced
all division level force protection measures that protects over 60,000 Soldiers and civilians from

technical of network of systems that protected over 25,000 Soldiers and civilians on over 9 bases
throughout Iraq

thoughtful and creative life saving decisions to be made in only seconds.
• Created and implemented training guidance for over 150 Soldiers and Sailors to prepare them for
combat operations in Iraq
• Established all logistical requirements and transportation needs of $150M worth of equipment that
required movement from Yuma, AZ to Iraq
• Headed combat operations and ongoing training and maintenance requirements/schedules to ensure the
continuous readiness of the unit and its equipment; maintained a readiness level of 100% throughout the
