BOTSWANA HARVARD AIDS PARTNERSHIP (BHP) – SINCE 1 DECEMBER 2011 TO PRESENT
POSITION: - FINANCE DIRECTOR- hEAD OF FINANCE, PROCUREMENT, GRANTS
MANAGEMENT,
BHP is a Non-Profit Organization (part of Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA) which
supports country HIV/AIDS, public health research, education, prevention, treatment, and monitoring
and evaluation services. BHP gets its grants from Harvard School of Public Health, Centre for Disease
Control, NIH, USA and various other Donors from UK, Canada and collaboration’s/projects in most part
of Africa. BHP is currently handling more than 35 projects.

commercial enterprises with a focus on local small, micro and medium enterprises into nationally and
regionally competitive businesses. Also carry research and execute projects on behalf of various

In my capacity as Finance Manager I reported to Executive Director and Board of Directors. I
specialized in Management reporting, budgeting, funds management, cash management, banking, tax,
procurement, insurance, legal matters, liaising with Donors, management of Donor funds,
Management of grants from Government, attendance to Budget meetings at ministries, internal and
external audit, relationship with various ministries, banks and insurance companies. I was also activitily

BMC is the leading National Abattoir with the slaughter capacity of more than 1200 cattle a day
with full manufacturing, processing and marketing of beef and beef products mainly for export
to European Union. BMC has its own cannery and tannery and have subsidiaries companies in
UK, Holland, Germany and in South Africa. In my capacity as Senior Management Accountant, I
reported to Chief Accountant and was responsible for production of Monthly, half yearly and
yearly accounts under ORACLE SET UP, Costing of all products, Budgeting and quarterly
forecasts, cash flow and variance analysis, Designed desired Management reports through
Application Data Integrator ( combined Oracle Applications with Microsoft applications), Oracle
Fixed Assets Maintanenace,Half yearly and yearly consolidation of all foreign subsidiaries
under multiple currencies, Vat and Tax matters, Trade financing-Pre-shipping and post
shipping.

Played a lead role in conversion from old accounting system to Oracle Financials.
Independently handled the consolidation of various subsidiaries for many years under multiple

Balfour beatty power botswana - fROM November 1992 till June 1996
Position Held: Financial Controller and subsequently promoted to Regional Financial Controller for
Botswana and Zimbabwe Region
Balfour Beatty is a British Electric and Mechanical Contractors and has its operations in
Botswana, Zimbabwe and Malawi. In my capacity as Regional Financial Controller, I was in
charge of Finance Department of all the locations and reported to Head Office in UK. I was
responsible for Monthly and yearly Management Accounts, Annual budgets, Contract
accounting, payroll, consolidation of African Subsidiaries and submission to Head Office in
United Kingdom.
Key Results:
Within a span of 8 months was promoted to the position of Financial Controller and within next
two years was promoted as Regional Financial Controller.
Independently handled the consolidation of African Subsidiaries and reported to Head Office in
UK under very tight reporting deadlines.

Hobbies and Interests:-
For the last 18 years I have been a part of music oriented charity band known as SARGAM. I
play the solo position on Congo and Drums. In our last 2 performances/shows, we managed to
raise USD 25000 which we donated to charity funds/Trusts which mainly deal with better
management of lives of mentally retarded children and construction of house for orphans kids.
