Challenging project of designing a portal that integrates 35
different products into a seamless experience for the end-user, for
this company that provides intelligence and analysis on global
energy to all major energy companies (ExxonMobil, Chevron, BP etc
Digital Strategy:
Evangelist of long term digital strategy-focused initiatives and
cultural change, and for developing a roadmap that current business
re-design efforts should feed into

structures, authoring processes, data aggregation, product offering

UX and UI role:
Ability to see the bigger picture amongst the complex taxonomy and

Largest e-learning project in the world, for training doctors and
medical students across the U.K.
Digital Management and Production:
Designed and managed the production of all digital assets for
numerous interactive applications, such as for fetal scan
monitoring, prescribing drugs, MRI scan-based exercises, and more.
Main contact for all GUI related issues for the whole project.
Created graphics and all digital production standards and related
guidelines for offshore and local teams, as well as all content
authors. Ran training for all teams on how to implement this on
content creation end as well as delivery end.
Managed 5 offshore production teams, with QA and troubleshooting
daily.
Instigated and produced the first usability lab with end-users for
e-learning sessions.
UX and UI role:
Initiated a project on creating a global set of templates to be used
across all applications, designing them to ensure scalability and
future-proofing.
Introduced an application development methodology for the Pathopedia
project, helping the development team to produce a functional
specification document by exploring and defining functionality
through wireframes.

specialists to create content for e-learning sessions for training

Key member in the team that developed an interface for an
international criminal screening system for Complinet (whilst it

with an eye on future scalability so that more work would be
forthcoming from this client.

applications, from financial applications to data management tools.
Instrumental in introducing more mature design practices across the
whole company, one based more on an appreciation of the information
architecture process. I have also been conscientious to mentor
junior designers in educating them on how to design interfaces based
less on how something should look, and more about how it can meet
end-user-requirements.
Brought to System Minds its unique edge in visualizing complex

Worked on-site in New York and San Francisco for ETRADE, as the main
creative liaison on behalf of System Minds, developing complex
financial applications and advising on build.

training college.
Consulted with specialists and end users to develop modules for
Neighborhood Policing.

Developed concepts, information architectures and front end graphics
for e-learning solutions that try to create immersive game-like
environments, with an emphasis on soft skills learning as well as
traditional linear knowledge.
E-learning solutions have included scenario-based modules for
Microsoft and a knowledge portal for AstraZeneca.
Hired to help develop the design team for this start-up e-learning
company, I endeavored to emphasize to the core team the need for
addressing user needs and mapping out clear client objectives before
diving into front end design, as well as addressing how other
technologies can enable new functionality. I also tried to teach the
team the need to consider scalability and localization in all
aspects of interface design.

Consulted for expertise in UI design, interaction design and online
brand development, for both client and pitch work.
Client: Toyota Europe
Designer for Toyota Europe, our principal client, for which duties
included conceptual information architecture overviews to flash
production work, while liaising onsite in Brussels and Munich.
Every car release required a mini-site as well as promotional assets
such as flash banners and interactive downloads. Mini-sites
required concept generation for presenting key features in unique
ways that still communicated Toyota's brand messages. Final
production involved interface design and illustration.
Developed a template system that had to take into account
localization (for translation into all European languages).
Lead creative for Aygo Car Configurator project that included
interactive gaming elements and 3d imaging. After presenting the
concept, working together with an Information Architect we finalized
the functional specifications, moving on to producing the front end
graphics with a team of junior designers.
Helped produce Toyota Europe Lexicon, a repository for knowledge of
all Toyota models, with rich media objects describing everything
from the mechanics of Hybrid Vehicle Engines to steering and
suspension.

Working onsite in London with the client, I helped them identify and
develop an online brand presence

Responsible for creating new corporate identities for the six brands
owned by this ladies fashion company. Carried out to demanding
deadlines, this work has involved logo and brand development for
both online and print assets, including catalogues and magazine ads

ensure consistent branding, in a way that enabled future site

As part of a team, I helped to develop a standardized interface and
graphics scheme for their global intranets
Working on-site, advised various internal teams - ranging from
technical to marketing departments - on the use of these design
standards and how to implement them according to their users' needs.
This also included delivering tutorials in information architecture
and usability techniques.
Clients: ClubMom.com, Poultryfirst.com, Cygnifi.com, Lease.com
Duties included brand development, interface design and
illustration.
Developed a simple wireframe system and advised on a CMS that would
work in tandem to the information architecture.
Internal work
Prepared and presented design-related topics such as information
design and usability principles, both within Quidnunc and to clients
such as Goldman Sachs and ClubMom.com
Helped to develop 'The Sherpa Project': a scheme that allowed the
technical team and the design team could communicate and learn from
each other's disciplines as well as find areas of overlap. This
helped the company's project processes to evolve.
Presented lectures on 'Hybrid culture design', getting the design
team to discuss how globalization has created new requirements for
designers.
