Electrical and mechanical maintenance technician at a corrugated box facility.
Duties include, but not limited to, troubleshooting and repairing all types of
high speed rotating equipment for corrugating and paper printing. Maintaining DC
drives, VFD's, PLC's and all types of control circuits. Oversee daily boiler and
waste water operations. Planned maintenance and repair of all parts on the
corrugators, flexo-glueing machines and rotator die cutters. Installation of new

Oversee maintenance for a machine shop and fabricating facility. This includes
all installation, trouble-shooting, and repair and safety inspection of the
electrical and mechanical equipment on-site. Upgrade and modernize
electro-mechanical machines to plc or electronic control systems. Modernize old
electrical and mechanical systems for better productivity. Maintain purchasing,
inventory and all safety records for the maintenance department.

Installed, diagnosed, repaired and maintained high speed machinery in a large
manufacturing facility .Worked on industrial sewing machines, coil machines,
electronic conveyor systems and all other plant systems and miscellaneous
equipment. Electrical repairs consisted of 480 volt AC 3 phase down to 5 volt DC
board voltage. Maintained plant pneumatics compressors, emergency back-up
generator, Ups for computer and telephone systems.

Responsible for plant and equipment maintenance including electrical, mechanical,
hydraulic and pneumatic machines and tools. In charge of plant safety training.
Worked with the insurance company to improve safety standards within the plant.
Leadman of daily workload including layout and fabricating of conveyor systems,
dump hoppers, stone crushers, and other aggregate equipment. Assist with all
shipping, receiving, purchasing, and inventory of stock and consumable items.
Initial job included upgrading electrical service in the plant (i.e., replacing
old power panels, upgrading overhead cranes, replacing plant heating system,
installing new electric service for paint room to conform to NEC codes).

Duties included setting up and maintaining a preventive maintenance schedule,
trouble shooting, and repairing all electrical equipment. Established
maintenance on emergency diesel generator and uninterrupted power supply to
plant. Calibration of CO monitoring system and BTU monitoring system as per OSHA
and MSHA. Calibration of transmitters and transducers of gas and steam turbines.
Set up machine shop on power plant site. Promoted to power plant maintenance
technician to oversee gas and steam turbine repairs. Duties included inspection
and repair of gas and steam turbines, switch yard gear, and generators.
1984-1989

Main function was installing, troubleshooting, and repairing all types of
electronics and electrical controlled production equipment with mechanical,
hydraulic, or pneumatic operations. Installed and repaired all types of DC
drives, DC speed motors, AC single and three phase motors. Experience with PLC
and computer repairs. Worked with schematics of plant equipment. Worked with
plant engineer and outside engineering staff on design and installation of
equipment. Designed and implemented upgrades to retrofit older equipment.

off blueprints or samples of a variety of pumps, valves and hydraulic systems.

Served in the United States Navy from 8-76 to 8-80, as a machinery repairman.
Operated all types of Lathes, Milling Machines, Surface Grinders and Drill
Presses. Class "A" Machinery Repairman School from 10-76 to 3-77. Material and
Supplies Director, and Maintenance Program Supervisor of the work center. Last 6
months billeted as Work Center Supervisor (E-8 Billet) in command of 10 men and
supervised all work orders. Honorable Discharge with rank E-5 (2nd Class
Non-Commissioned Officer).
