A New Concept of Multiple Zone Well Completion
Completed 6 weeks project (14th May to 16th July 2012) under Dass Oil Field Technologies (P)
Ltd on A New Concept of Multiple Zone Well Completion under the guidance of Mr. Chanchal
Dass, former Reservoir Engineer at ONGC, Ex SPE Secretary of India Section.
Worked on testing and validation of the innovative well completion technology which aims to
improve oil recovery and rate of production in multi-layered reservoirs.
Key learning
The importance of innovation for tackling problems more effectively and efficiently.
Problems related to multi-layered reservoirs around the globe.
Some basic well testing analysis and its relevance in a field development project.
B-Tech Final Year Project
Effect of well spacing on ultimate recovery.
Aim: To prepare a field development strategy by optimizing well spacing for maximizing oil
recovery in a depletion oil reservoir.
Scope of the project: The project envisages building a static and upscale for dynamic modeling
of a reservoir using Petrel. The reservoir produced under primary depletion with different well
spacing. Hence, a field development strategy with optimum well spacing is prepared. The project
guides were Dr. Bijaya K. Behera and Dr. Anirbid Sircar and the co-guide was Mr. Chanchal Dass,
MD, Dass Oilfield Technologies (P) Ltd.
