Collection Management Experience
G.C. Services, LP San Diego, CA 92126 Dec 2006
- Sept 2012
Collection Manager
Recruited specifically to salvage the Citibank "Prime Pre-Legal" portfolio.
GC Services was down to 10% market share in this highly competitive
portfolio. There was one assistant Manager and 4 FTE with an average
monthly liquidation of 3%. Within six months, we had increased market
share to 35% (the largest percent assigned) and Month 1 liquidation was
averaging 8%. It took two Managers and 24 FTE to manage the volume. I
continued to support portfolios which were not performing or needed to be
more competitive. This includes, but is not limited to: Mid-Prime Pre-
Legal, Sears (Bankcard and Private Label), SKIP (Prime, Prime Premium,
Early Out, and Late Stage Early Out), Home Depot (Private Label), Nissan
and Toyota.
Performed the traditional managerial functions of performance appraisals,
monthly audits, cross training, motivation, counseling, salary
recommendation, hiring/termination activities. Provided training and
support in reviewing problem accounts/portfolios. Assist staff with
identifying the appropriate workout for the accounts, reviewing financial
documents, credit reports, title/legal documents, and preparing a
recommendation memo for management approval, when applicable.
Credit Solutions Corporation (C.S.C.) San Diego, CA 92123
Jan 2005 - June 2006
Production / Legal Manager
Recruited specifically to increase and maintain staff/production and
implement legal procedures in an endeavor to take the company public within
a specific time frame.
Retention: In less than 8 months, I helped to increase the staff by 300%.
We went from 20 FTE in January to 100 FTE in September. Personally
interviewed, hired and trained more than 60% of that staff.
Production: experienced the same improvement in about the same time frame,
approximately 300%. By using my ability to train supervisors and collectors
and by allowing CSC to use my intellectual property that I created when I
was C.E.O. of Diversified Capital (demands, skip-tracing documents, talk-
offs, etc we were able to go from $200k net collections in January
2005 to a record high of $687k net collections in July.
Legal: the department was essentially formed when I implemented the
policies and procedures I created for Diversified Capital. Forms, letters,
processes, guidelines and talk-offs were just part of building the legal
division. The legal department of 3 FTE now consistently produces $90-100k
per month, or one sixth of the company's overall production. CSC now uses
my letters, demands and forms exclusively.
The Williamson Agency, Inc. (TWA) Pleasanton, CA 2004 to
2005

placements

The influx of new business has brought TWA to over $100 million in total
placements with an anticipated average annual recovery of over 30% of the
commercial business.
