Fine Needle Aspiration Medical Device
August 2012 to May 2013

• Collaborated in a team to research & test plastic tubing materials for the development of prototypes to
replace an ordinary syringe used for Fine Needle Aspiration in Biopsy
• Utilized Finite Element Analysis to determine material properties for bulk manufacturing via injection
molding
• Conducted in- vitro testing on animal liver with Radiologist from University of Massachusetts Medical
School using the two prototypes (rapid prototype machine & plastic tubing prototype) and analyze the
acquired tissue cells
Rail-Trail Conversion of Manchester & Lawrence Railroad

• Developed Green Infrastructure (Rail Trail) along the Manchester & Lawrence Railroad for the City of
Lawrence, MA

Design Infant Respiratory Rate Monitor for Engineering World Health

• Worked in a group of to design and develop a monitoring device for infants while they are sleeping to
ensure they are still breathing.
• Collaborated in a team of two additional members to design a device in Solidworks and prototyped it using
