Human Resources Specialist, NAF, Osan AB Korea, 2010-2013

I maintain the technical and management advisory personnel functions of the NAF Personnel Program. I

serve as the focal point for the automated NAF personnel data system for transaction problems and error

resolutions. I maintain surveillance of automated system processing through regular system queries and

quality control products. I provide technical advice to lower graded Human Resources Assistants

concerning processing of personnel actions and associated system error situations. I provide management

with position control registers and other automated personnel statistical documents/reports, as well as,

providing management advisory services in matters related to staffing, affirmative employment, employee

relations, and classification. I oversee and assist the managers of facilities with disciplinary actions,

adverse actions, and grievances. I also, analyze, evaluate, and classify non controversial positions in a

variety of occupational groups. As the Human Resources Specialist, I conduct position reviews; perform

desk audits; determine and assigns correct pay category, occupational series, title, grade level, Fair Labor

Standards Act (FLSA) designations; and prepares required evaluation statements. I provide advice and

assistance to managers and employees on basic pay, overtime or leave entitlement, insurance benefits, and

401(k) questions or problems. Participate in planning and conducting the local NAF wage survey IAW

regulatory guidance. I work with the Deputy Directors, Flight Commanders, as well as Legal and Service

Duties included arranging food and beverages on steam tables, a la carte trays or mobile carts to make

items available for customers. Serve customers by the menu or personal preference and follow food
