Systems Development Director, 2009 – Present
Responsible for directing a team of four information services managers and 25
information services professionals in the ongoing development, maintenance and
integration of the company’s financial, HR payroll, Intranet, and big ticket item systems.
• Responsible to develop and maintain both departmental and project based
budgets.
• Oversaw the successful implementation of common HR, payroll and Oracle
financial systems, subsequent to the acquisition of HBC by Lord and Taylor,
leading to a 25% reduction in ongoing maintenance costs.
• Directed and managed the development of a new Big Ticket item system, with a
capital budget of $3M. The system was implemented into 95 Hudson Bay retail
stores across Canada.
• Manage the integration of off shore resources into the ongoing support team,
decreasing the annual support cost by 40%.
• Led the development and integration of a web based application being used by
the Hudson Bay Company vendors. The implementation resulted in a 30% cost
reduction and quicker, more efficient accounting and approval processes.
