Resume:

Eric Atwood

Site Administrator, Electronic Technician, Field Service Engineer,

Software Engineer

San Antonio, TX

ab9eky@r.postjobfree.com - 210-***-****

• Four years’ experience working as an electronic technician for the United States military.

• Three years working as a civilian in software and electronic technology as a civilian and counting

• Total Seven years’ experience working in the software and hardware field of electronic based

equipment

• Secret Security Clearance given for the clarity to become an electronic technician for the United

States Army.

• Graduate of the U.S. Army Ordnance Munitions and Electronics Maintenance School located in

Fort Gordon, Georgia. Giving me the ability to later make the 2nd D Stryker RSS Maintenance

Unit the best Electronic shop in the United States Army. This did include a award that would go

to the Unit.

• Awarded the Driver and Mechanic Badge for wheeled vehicles from 1 Nov. 2006 to 1 Nov. 2007

from the Regimental Support Squadron 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment at FOB Warhorse, Iraq. This

gave me the knowledge base to fix any electronic equipment involved with the tactical vehicle

and ensure that all vehicles were properly maintained.

• Radiation Safety officer gave me the ability to work with radiation, with proper use of

dosimeters, and ensure the safety of any one operating the equipment. By learning this I was

able to build proper safety steps and procedures for the entire south providence of Afghanistan

as I worked for SAIC.

• Deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan for a total time of 2 years 3 months, helps give me the ability

to travel and be away from home as it does not bother me to be away for weeks and months

at a time.

• Meggitt weapons system training gives me the ability and knowledge base to fix all pneumatic

weapons such as the M2, M249, M4, and many other weapons. By doing this during my current

employment with CSC a global company, my site the RVTT on Camp Bullis has no down weapons,

and remains full mission capable.

• Working with Linux, windows, Penical, and many other databases at my current position has

given me the experience needed to maintain databases, networks and comply with government

policies. With a Linux Red Hat main Operating System, I keep all log files, Core files low, to ensure

that they will never reach a critical load point to decrease any service errors. This also includes

working with maintaining Audit Logs that are burned to a cd, so that when the governments ask

for them they can view the log files for usage and errors.

• Programming equipment such as but not limited to P.L.C.’s, has given me the ability to ensure

wago, or alan Bradley equipment run properly. This troubleshooting help lets me know if the

software has errors or is the equipment itself has an issue. As of July the wago PlC had a time

error that caused the module to shut down operations, I was able to quickly assess the error light

codes and reprogram the time to bring the module back up in a matter of minutes. This also

happened with a Wago card that went bad when given the error I was able to quickly determent

that the light code on the module was correct, moving on to the next step learning that the wrong

voltage was being received and was able to replace and repair that module in a timely manner.

• Updated Software to include putting in patch files on any given system. As most know we

update our laptops daily but in corporations that is not what happens. At my current corporation

I load all patches that come with a set 4 disc set putting the information first on my MCC under

my patches files after removing the old ones to ensure the new update and fixes get on the main

controller, after that I share the information with the MC and download the application across the

network to share the update with the rest of the host p.c.’s.

• Worked with SharePoint to insure proper installation of windows application to better the

company’s performance across the database network. By installing SharePoint the company

is able to communicate more effectively and securely. Being a student at the University of

Phoenix I’m able to work with many things, SharePoint has a lot of capabilities but first needs

to qualify to run on your network and or laptops. The big requirements not met for University of

Phoenix was they needed a 64 bit operating system in order to continue with the update from

SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010. They then needed to back up all there information on all

databases to ensure that they did not lose any data. By me assisting in this installation I was

able to save all there information, ensure they had the correct licenses by calling the corporation,

Microsoft, and ensuring they would not be fined, and updated the software, and then put the

old information back on the system. This gave the University the ability to stay up to date in

technology and educate future minds with a better resource at their finger tips. Without my help

all old information would have been lost.

• Software installations for almost anything, through CSC I’ve been able to provide proposals and

approval to update computers and database information so to keep the company up to date and

effectively communicating.

• Insuring the usage of Information security as a must by watching and monitoring the network

for any type of activity. This is where I make sure nobody without further notice mounts a drive

onto my network. By using a LDAP security system I can make it harder for the hacker to break

into the system. As I alone cannot be everywhere at once, I have built a proposal that will go up

through CSC for deployment software to monitor the network. This will ensure the safety of the

network and the information on the network. With technology advancing I have to continually

educate myself to ensure I’m on top of any and all current threats on the market today. This will

all together keep the site safe and running smooth, making the customer happy and ensuring

the company that they won’t pay any unwanted fees for fixing broken equipment.

• One-SAF operation, building and maintainer. This allows me to create simulation technology

to fit anyone’s specific need allowing the over product to accomplish anyone’s requirements for

training.

Proficient in working, writing and using Net-beans for Java script (will provide programs built,

to include GUI's)

Proficient in working, writing and using Visual studio to build applications in Visual basic.
