Authorship Identification on Unstructured Text 01/13 - 04/13
Authorship identification is a research field of pattern identification in
online writeprint. Given excerpts from a book, classifying it by author
name is quite challenging. In addition to the use bag of words in the
traditional text classification problems, authorship identification also
focuses on creating attributes such as authors' linguistic
style such as usage of digit, punctuation, words and sentences' length and
usage frequency of
words and so on to study the patterns and relate it to authors. The
classification model used is K-NN or SVM models, the distance metric can be
computed using Manhattan or Euclidean, the bigram size can be set as 1 or 2
or 3, the k-value can be set for k-NN model.
