This Alstom facility started production in 2010 to manufacture power generation turbines primarily for the

commercial Nuclear Power generation industry in North America.

Manufacturing Process Engineer: - 2011 - Present

Lead Engineer on Southern Company retrofit rotors for Southeastern U.S.

o

Backup Engineer on Pingwei OEM rotors for new China power plant.

Designed and managed machining qualifications for Gas Turbine rotor manufacturing

qualifications in support of the Lead Engineer on the project.

Review and approve production orders including all drawings, specifications, procedures and

quality documents for completeness and compliance to requirements for rotor production.

Communicate with product engineering on design for manufacturability issues and proposals for

o

their resolutions.

Conduct detailed kick-off s for each rotor project to the production, scheduling, order

o

management and engineering teams.

Work closely with tool design engineers and programmers to develop the tool and gage

o

requirements and machining plans for each rotor project.

Determine and design any machining tests needed for features not yet produced or to be produced

o

with new tooling or processing plans.

Develop routings in SAP outlining all tests, test materials, tooling, gaging and machines required.

Create special drawing requirements as needed for processing.

Lead engineer working with supplier quality engineers from Rolls Royce, GE Aviation and other

Review process capability and Gage R & R data and develop plans including process and/or gage

and tempering, inertia welding, dynamic balancing of high speed - close tolerance componentry.
