The 101st Airborne HQ features command suites, office space for 400, a division conference room, an

auditorium, state-of-the-art communications and IT

technology, secured classified areas, an emergency operations center, and a lower-level exercise and break

room. Large bays on one side of the building are

designed to hold equipment-carrying vehicles that can be quickly boarded on cargo planes.

The facility is basic building construction type IIB with a basement classified as an SCIF Facility, (a

Sensitive Compartmented

Information Facility), for the storage and dissemination of sensitive information.

Energy & Atmosphere:

The project features state-of-the-art mechanical and electrical systems that minimize energy consumption.

Included is a

low-temperature, hydronic boiler package and a raised-access floor system with under-floor air supply.

Adjustable diffusers

at each work station allow occupants to individually control the HVAC system.

Design energy use was reduced by slightly more than 10%. Operation management and control systems for

lighting and

HVAC system were installed.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Santa Rosa Annex consists of thirty-five (35) separate buildings on a compound covering approximately 54

acres. The total value of the project is $42,184,000. This includes extensive site work, utilities and all

associated security requirements (fencing, razor wire, motion detection, cameras, etc.)

The Annex includes 3 Secured Housing, 3 Open Bay Dorms, Front and Rear Support and Central Control

Tower and the majority of the site work. All work was completed in June 2006. The sitework included

stormwater expansion, security fencing, a 22,500 LF Geothermal Loop System and 14 Supply and Recharge

Wells.

Project location is just east of Milton, Florida in the panhandle. This is about 30 miles east of Pensacola and

about 25 miles north of the coast.

Design/Build of a rectangular aircraft parking apron for C-5 and C-17 aircraft. The five existing concrete

keyholes will be replaced with a PCC apron 368 millimeters thick by 590 meters by 110 meters. An option

will be proposed to increase the length of the apron to 720 meters. A new storm drainage system and

associated apron lighting(5KV) and ductbank(12.470KV); pavement marking and mooring/static grounding

points are included. Post 09/2011 War On Terror. Ongoing air traffic essential in keeping a portion of the

keyholes and taxiway open. *Operation Desert Shield

Located at the Defense Distribution Depot Red River in Texarkana, Texas, this 680,000 SF building replaces

several older military warehouse facilities, some dating back to World War II. The facility stores and

distributes thousands of items that service the Department of Defense. With shelves up to 25 feet high, the

distribution center includes 320,000 SF of storage and 320,000 SF of shipping, receiving and packing areas.

Sophisticated inventory management systems include computer-operated pallets that transport items back and

forth on rails between storage and distribution areas. The facility also includes 60,000 SF of administrative

service areas, complete with centralized computer and communication capabilities. Employee amenities

include a cafeteria, dining room and break rooms, totaling 10,000 SF.

Chief of Naval Education and Training Command (CNET), Pensacola NAS, FL

1995 to 1996

CNET sits on a 200-acre site in Pensacola, Florida, this project is a complete campus consisting of an 800,000

square foot Consolidated Training School and nine bachelor enlisted quarters totaling 1,210,000 square feet.

Also included are a 60,000 square feet galley, a medical and dental facility, an enlisted officers' club and a

new central energy plant. The site work includes the primary electrical distribution system consisting of two

12,470V loop fed circuits in seven miles of duct bank, lighting for two baseball fields, 100 roadway lighting

fixtures, and 700 pedestrian area light fixtures. A complete voice and data communication system is

distributed throughout the project via fiber optics and copper cable. Installed in each quadrant of the CTS

building is a loop fed 12,470V pad mounted vacuum fault interrupter, two radial-fed transformers, and a

480/277V bus duct supplied, double-ended switchboard. Two 100KW and one 500KW diesel engine driven

emergency generator provides back up service for emergency loads and egress lighting.
