Provide administrative support to the Chancellor of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Venice in Florida. The

Chancellor’s Office assists the Bishop in overseeing the administration of all diocesan entities (churches, schools,

housing), as well as ensuring all diocesan policies and procedures are adhered to.

Maintain and update all priests’ files (electronically and hard copy files) that minister in the Diocese, as well as

parish & mission files. (Currently – 59 parishes, 10 missions and 228 priests in 10 Florida Counties)

Collect data from diocesan entities and update The Official Catholic Directory, which is a yearly publication that

encompasses all parishes, schools, elderly housing and Catholic Charities’ organizations, as well as other pertinent

information about each diocese. This publication covers all dioceses in the United States.

Responsible for coordinating various meetings; Department Heads Quarterly Meetings – record and transcribe

minutes, Presbyteral Council Meetings, Monthly Goals & Objectives Meetings and other meetings as requested.

Prepare the Annual Statistical Report. This includes gathering data from Catholic entities within the Diocese of

Venice, which is recorded and sent to the Vatican in Rome.

Compose non parochial collection letters for the Bishop, which are sent to all parishes.

Prepare documents for immigration attorneys to file applications for R1 Visas and Permanent Resident Cards for

foreign priests and nuns to work in the Diocese.

Work closely with other dioceses, both in the United States and abroad, when extern priests wish to minister in the

Diocese of Venice.
