OBJECTIVE
With many years of experience in purchasing, planning, and scheduling of raw and
finished goods materials, I regard myself as fair, honest, and upfront with my
employers, employees, and customers. My goal is to work as a team player with a

WORK HISTORY
2005 –Sept. 2013 Senior Direct Buyer III – ATK Aerospace Structures Division, Iuka, MS
Primary duties included submitting request for bids, approving requisitions, selecting and
awarding purchase order contracts for end item materials along with MRO products
and services through the use of the ATK computer system. Reviewed and approved
supplier invoices for payment. Yearly audits by BSI and ISO auditors to ensure
management directives of the purchasing procedures were in accordance. Ran
weekly Excel purchase order reports and submitted to suppliers and the receiving
department for incoming deliveries. Used Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook on a daily
basis. Responsible for submitting the monthly posting of the metrics reports for on-
time delivery, quality performance, and cost savings.
2002 – 2005 PFR Buyer/Planner – GBC/Quartet, Booneville, MS
Daily duties included purchasing, planning, scheduling, inventory, forecasting, costing, and
interplant ordering system modules through the use of the GBC computer system.
Responsible for purchasing and planning finished goods from international and
domestic suppliers. Other experience included the purchasing of raw materials and
scheduling plant production. Submit weekly MRP exception and inventory reports to
suppliers for expediting and de-expediting of products. Other purchases include
MRO products. Monitored and approved purchases of office and manufacturing
supplies on the corporate master card. Tracked and provided the management staff
of incoming international shipments through the use of various web sites. Worked
closely with sales, brand managers, and marketing managers regarding new
products, displays, and planograms.
1999 – 2002 Material Planner/Plant Scheduler – Anderson-Hickey/Nvision Systems, Halls, TN
Responsibilities included procuring raw materials and finished goods for the production of office
furniture. Scheduled production for all departments and monitored the kanban
system. Level-loading production lines based on demand and capacity. Supervisor
of the pick and pack operation. Daily use of the Haworth Oracle system for
purchasing materials and scheduling production along with the use of Microsoft
Word, Excel, and Outlook. Served as Nvision enhancement project team leader and
facilitator for the ped fabrication 5S Team.
1996 - 1999 Procurement/Materials Scheduler - Land O’ Lakes/Slim Fast Nutritional Foods,
Covington, TN
Responsible for the ordering of packaging supplies for the production of Slim Fast
ready-to-drink product utilizing the AS 400 system for the Covington, Tennessee and
Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin facilities. Other AS 400 functions included JIT, placing
and tracking purchase orders, and originating shop floor reports on a daily basis.
Duties also included maintaining and tracking material usage yields and lost product
percentages for Covington and three co-packers with the use of Microsoft Excel.
Reported finished product and scheduled flavors to be packaged on a daily basis.
1989-1996 Procurement Manager/Plant Scheduler - Bemis Company, Memphis, TN
Duties included the scheduling of 26 machines based on demand and capacity.
Responsible for purchasing the raw materials to support production needs.
Organized and maintained all files for the American Institute of Baking (AIB) program
and received an outstanding AIB rating. Supervised the shipping and receiving
department and scheduled the hours for the department along with the production
lines.
1987-1989 Procurement and Shipping/Receiving Supervisor - Rexham Corporation, Memphis, TN
Responsibilities included the scheduling of shipments for Frito Lay and other
customer products on a daily basis. Set up a location system to track finished goods
in the warehouse. Other assignments included supervising the shipping and
receiving department, scheduling production, and ordering parts for the plant
engineer.
1980-1987 Staff Support Specialist - United States Air Force
Responsibilities included handling performance evaluations, temporary duty
assignments for officers and airmen, purchasing supplies, and equipment through the
requisition process. Controlled all classified information and responsible for the
destruction of classified material in the department. Supervised personnel at both
Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas and Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
Chairman of the Crime Prevention Program for the Director of Personnel,
Headquarters Air University and received the Governor’s recognition for excellence.
Member of the Unit and Base Advisory committee at Little Rock AFB and participated
in various activities.
