. Assisted in lowering company's "Experience Modifying Rate" (EMR) to an
historic company low of 0.27 with the established safety standard set
at 1.00 as good. The low "EMR" helped secure various projects during

BASF, PHILIP SERVICES CORP
Environmental Engineer/Specialist Strategized and implemented the
handling of approximately 600 waste streams, half of which were classified
"hazardous" at several chemical manufacturing facilities. Administered
multi-plant functions for government compliance programs. These tasks
helped company(s) meet deadline regulatory requirements/minimize liability
and prevent regulatory penalties.
WALBRIDGE
Safety Engineer Responsible for conducting daily safety monitoring,
problem-solving safety issues, and reporting infractions as necessary.
Coordinated all subcontractor safety activities to assure compliance with
project, state, and federal safety requirements. To confirm compliance,
implemented safety audits and used Pre-Task Analysis planning. Conducted
site safety orientations; implemented a Crane Action Plan; assured
conformity with 100% Fall Protection requirements; issued disciplinary
action notices to subcontractors; presided over safety meetings; and
participated in bid, start-up, and progress conferences. In addition,
interpreted MSDS, tracked hazardous waste through manifest documentation,
and Storm Water Run-off compliance. Investigated incidents and generated
reports. Interfaced with management, medical clinic(s), and government
agencies. In addition, interfaced with all site subcontractors and their
employees to emphasize the importance of the project safety program to help

GREAT LAKES STEEL
Environmental Engineer Supervisor Constantly researched, evaluated, and
inputted the improved disposal recycling methods to reduce the disposal
costs of 85 waste streams, sixteen of which were classified "hazardous", in
a steel mill setting. Administered proactive emergency spill responses of
various magnitudes through an expedited response program
minimizing/eliminating environmental impact and remediation expenses.

FABRICON PRODUCTS
QC/Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator Administered quality control
standards to prevent the manufacturing of substandard products causing a
negative impact to the profit line. Responsible for changing the use of a
highly flammable solvent chemical "MEK" to a less hazardous solvent.
Suggested to Plant Manager to switch from a lead base ink to a soy base
type which Plant Manager responded favorably to the idea, thus, reducing by-
product waste disposal cost. (1991 to 1992)

Senior Environmental Consultant/ Industrial Hygienist - Field Supervisor
Developed/supervised a newly created environmental department to deal with
environmental audits, remediation activities, and hazardous waste. Secured
government contracts within first three months of operation. Instrumental
in developing special projects ranging from market approach plan and worker
safety program to usable environmental programs, such as, an environmental
audit guide and qualifying documents for DNR "short listing". Used user-
friendly program guideline manual for several Fortune 200 Corporations,
development companies, and government agencies nationwide, including Puerto
