Q400 commercial aircraft accountability for the Toronto site quality management
system. Focussed on continuous improvement of business processes to ensure our
customers are provided with high quality products and services, which meets their
expectations and comply with regulatory and industry requirements.
Budget accountability for 48 unionized and 5 management employees.
Toronto site focal for AS9100 rev C audit, passed May 2012 with no findings.
Material review board (MRB) authority for Q400 program.
Introduced quality gate process and transformation work cells into final

2009 – 2011. Airbus, A320 Operations & Integration Manager.
An operations and project manager role with accountability for delivering 36 wing
sets each month to our customer’s final assembly lines in Toulouse and Hamburg.
Strategic plans developed and executed to ensure rate capability and
programme stability. On dock dates and quality gate milestones were
achieved delivering 100% customer satisfaction scores.
Project leader for sharklet (wing tip modification)
Project leader for planning standards, resulting in a 220 hour per set saving.
UK operations provider of skilled resource for the Tianjin final assembly line in
China.
2007 – 2009. Airbus, Operations Manager.
Leader of an operations team of 102 direct unionized employees to ensure business
objectives were met under safety, quality, cost, delivery and people through the
implementation of lean tools and techniques.
Safety : A 50% reduction in substantial risks
Quality : A 30% reduction in repeat workmanship defects
Cost : A 40 year programme EBIT record in wing and fuselage deliveries

2002 – 2002. Kongsberg (KDA) Eurofighter, Composite Inspector & Coach.
A six month consultancy role coaching Norwegian operators and engineers in
composite assembly techniques. On completion of the contact the team had the
capability to manufacture, assemble and repair Eurofighter Typhoon composite flap
and rudder assemblies.
1996 – 2002. British Aerospace, Prestwick Airport. Aircraft Mechanic.
A mechanic on the RJ146 aircraft, moving on to the final assembly of Airbus
structures. In 1999 I joined the British Aerospace customer support team based in
Airbus UK, France and Germany. My tasks included completion of outstanding work,
modifications and structural repairs.
Aug 1990 – March 1996. Ministry of Defence. Apprentice Mechanical Fitter.
A four year mechanical apprenticeship with emphasis on both production and
maintenance; this was followed by a two year assignment as a skilled mechanic.
