Managing all engineering and construction phase activities of infrastructures to support

Coal Mining Operations

Project profile:

Location : Melak, West Kubar, East Kalimantan, Indonesia

Objective : Delivered the engineering and construction of infrastructures to

support Coal Mining Operations.

CAPEX : 34.8 MUSD

Main Infrastructure: Explosive Magazines, Weight Bridges, Camp and Guess

House, Fire Hydrant and Water Supply System, Coal Crushing Plant

Improvement.

The main activities :

Monitor and control of project activities from start to closure.

Oversee the checking and/or review of designs, installation methodologies, lift

plans, schedule.

Monitor the contractor performance and create a contractor KPI for the

project.

Oversee the implementation of engineering technical specifications, the

execution plan and compliance with procedures.

Provide direction to the project team with contract management to ensure

completion of the project within time, within budget and according to the

scope of work.

Ensure QA/QC inspections of steel structure fabrication, construction and

installation are carried out according to the management plan.

PT Vale Indonesia is Indonesia’s biggest Nickel Pr oducers (Mining and

Processing ).

Working experiences at this company :

2006 – 2011 as LTP Superintendent of Central Planning Department.

Managing major shutdown of production facilities to meet company’s annual

production plan. This project involves multidiscipline across the company

department, 24 hours operations, about 1400 people and other massive

resources.

Mining and Smelter Shutdown profile :

- Planning timespan : 4-6 months

- Shutdown duration : 2-4 weeks

- Number of people : up to 1,200 persons

- Cost : 20 MUSD ( combined CAPEX and OPEX)

- Type of plant : 4 Electric Furnaces (80MW), 3 Converters,

5 Reduction Kilns, 3 Dryers, 6 Mine

activities interfacing.

Develop planning for capital and maintenance projects execution that requires

coordination efforts especially, strategic and realistic plan development.

Manage the construction’s schedule and its priority of the capital projects to

effectively use the equipment and manpower, and minimizing the impact on

production loss and meet the project target as scheduled.

Providing project monitoring system to ensure the overall works in being done

as planned and can be done in safe, efficient manner by construction team and

arranging the construction priority to effectively resources usage and

minimizing the production loss impact using construction steps cycle to reach

previous planning system improvement.

Providing technical and engineering supports to assess the engineering and
