Lead Engineer/Technologist Planner, 2011-2013

Scheduled engineering New Product Introductions, Hydro Electric order to release projects in Primavera (P6) and performed the duties of issue manager in the Product Lifecycle Maintenance System (PLM).

• Developed and maintained hydro schedule templates, enabling scheduled customization with minimal effort.

• Working with program managers, initiated first projects for the project teams in P6 and PLM.

• Managed issue completion with schedulers, driving the issue cycle time from 4.7 to 2.5 days, resulting in a 47% reduction.

Material Planner, 2008-2011

Together with wind site managers, reduced site inventories throughout US and Canada. Worked with GE operations and maintenance sites completing internal and purchase requisitions for parts needed. Developed new wind site installation spares kits and obtained approval to place sales orders from project managers.

• Consolidated operations and maintenance onsite inventories throughout the US and Canada to central warehouses, resulting in a 75% reduction in actual/ghost inventory.

• Processed maintenance parts requisitions based on wind turbine configurations, maintenance cycles, and parts lead times, resulting in zero late shipped lines and minimal warehouse stock to support.

Senior Engineer Planner, 1996-2002

Developed, maintained and progressed engineering schedules within assigned disciplines for the New Attack Submarine, Virginia Class according to inputs by engineering and program management in an Artemis mainframe environment.

• Developed a methodical approach to the scheduling of remote operators within individual work area designators and invoked for the entire design, minimizing false starts and rework.

• Created “bow wave report” addressing discrepancy between scheduled and actual resources applied for mechanical discipline, making the case with program office to re-baseline activities. This methodology was subsequently adopted for the entire Virginia Class Program.
