General duties and responsibilities
MRI SCAN
. Perform routine MRI Scan Examination in 0.2 Tesla GE MRI Scanner.
. Give Instruction to the Patient for MRI Examination and take Informed
Consent.
. Give After care to the Patient and Monitor for any Contrast reactions.
. Collect the Patient Records of clinical history and properly keep
them.
. Provide Films for reporting along with their requests and clinical
history and previous documents.
. Maintains Patient's Records for future reference confidentially.
. Maintains Registers of Films, Contrast Agents.
CT SCAN
. Perform CT Scan Examination in GE High Speed Duel Slice Spiral CT
scanner.
. Give Instruction to the Patient for CT Examination and take Informed
Consent.
. Give After care to the Patient and Monitor for any Contrast reactions.
. Post process the 3D Data set to get good quality images diagnosis and
Film properly.
. Collect the Patient Records of clinical history and properly keep
them.
. Provide Films for reporting along with their requests and clinical
history and previous documents.
. Maintains Patient's Records for future reference confidentially.
. Maintains Registers of Films, Contrast Agents.
. Check the Emergency Drugs everyday and always keep them ready for any
Emergency situations.
. Check the proper working of Anesthesia Equipments, Oxygen supply
regularly.
. Performs Quality Assurance of Equipments and Personal Protection
Devices such as Lead apron, Gonad shield, ovarian shields, and Thyroid
shields on a regular basis.
X-RAY
. Performs routine X-rays like Skull, PNS, L S Spine, Dorsal Spine,
Cervical Spine, Hip joints, Pelvis, Sacro iliac joints, Femur, Knee
joints, Tibia and Fibula, Ankle joint, Foot, Shoulder joint, Humerus,
Elbow joint, Forearm, Wrist joints, Hand, Fingers, Chest (PA, AP,
Lateral, Dcubitus views),Abdomen(Supine, Erect),KUB
. Performs Special X ray Views like Mandible,, Towns view,
Orbits, Nasal bones, Mastoid air cells, Dental X rays, Open
mouth views, Swimmers view(For cervico thoracic junction),
Strikers view, Inferio superior axial view for shoulder joint,
Carpel Tunnel view for Wrist joint, Scaphoid bone view (PA with
ulnar deviation), Sternum Lateral view, Flexion and extension
views for Cervical spine, Dorsal spine and L S spine, Sacrum and

Intravenous Pyelography (IVP)
Micturating Cysto Urethrography (MCU)
. Checks the Patient requests for X- ray examination and Schedule
it based on the status of Urgency.
. Inform the Patient and Corresponding Ward,ICU or Out patient
Department about the
Examination time.
. Prepare the Patient for examination and take the Consent after
describing the procedure to the Patient.
. Positions the Patient properly using positioning devises and
provide personal protection devises.
. Give Him / Her proper Instructions prior to the Examination.
. Perform the Examination with proper patient care and according
to the Radiation Protection Norms to minimize radiation dose
(ALARA).
. Send back the Patient after verifying the Images.
. Properly develop the Radiograph and dry it for reporting.
. Perform Portable X- Rays in Wards and ICU by properly and
strictly following the Radiation
protection rules.
. Provide proper equipment care and efficient operation of all
equipment needed.
. Check the Quality of Radiographs performed.
. Maintains Patient's Records for future reference confidentially.
. Make duplicate copies of Radiographs of interesting and
important cases for Academic purposes.
C-ARM
Assists the Orthopedic Surgeons during Surgery by performing proper
operation of C - ARM.
